If I bought a used bike here in Norway. For example a 2005 RSV1000 that is already with Norwegian Plates.
And then combined the RSV I have with this older bike would it be legal to do this?? If the bike had everything from the newer bike except for the frame etc????
Is there a possible way you could have problems from the police or government as long as both bikes started legally (not stolen etc...) ???

Re: Need your opinion on New Idea
in norway the plates i in relation with the frame, as long as the frame number is correct with the vognkort(?!)
you are okay.
you are okay.
Re: Need your opinion on New Idea
Well, its possible and probarly a very low risk at getting caught. Never heard about anyone getting the frame number checked, except if you are called in on a check at statens vegvesen.
Re: Need your opinion on New Idea
Thomasi I was thinking I could even swap everything to the other frame. They are identical. I dont think I would want to risk the frame number being different than that of the frame plate number. Either way I would have the legal paperwork for both bikes so I am thinking this may work. The cost of a used high mileage rsv is about the same as 1st time registration tax and you would have a complete extra parts bike.
Re: Need your opinion on New Idea
I dont see why you would have to change frame?
Just take the parts from the RSV you have over to the one you buy in norway (except from the frame) and there will be no problem.
That way it will end like you said, that you have an extra bikes with parts if you need to for the same cost.

I know people who have bought cheap bikes, just to put everything from their other bike over to that newly bought one, because it has plates. So yeah go for it!

Her skal det stå noe fornuftig.
Re: Need your opinion on New Idea
Anton do you have some source on buying frames for Aprilia bikes?? I see you have a shop with Aprilia parts advertised. Is this new?? I dont remember seeing this before. Anton i bet that svx 550 would be really fast in the turns. I have raced other motards in the past. Very tough to keep up with in the mountains. Almost impossible for most sportbikes if the motard rider is good.
Re: Need your opinion on New Idea
That's true adrtree, i had a ktm exc 125 and i was faster in the turns than the gsxr600 in the turns.
Only one thing sweeter than the sound of a two stroke, and that's the sound of a two stroke passing a four stroke.

Anton you ever talk to Griff at Aprilia Performance UK?? I spoke with him a few times about my bike. They do big bore kits and such.
Re: Need your opinion on New Idea
No, I've never spoken to him. Do you know if they deliver SXV parts?

Her skal det stå noe fornuftig.
